Who knew that there was so much to learn about liquor? All of us at Judicious Spirits, save one, had never been in the liquor business in any capacity. We had to be on our toes and learn (and completely absorb what we learned) alot of information. Information like wine varietals, the difference between an ale and a lager, or a tequila and a mescal. And as we learned we found out about some really cool stuff…like the difference between whiskey and whisky and how Clear Creek Distillery got the pear in the bottle of Pear Brandy or even why Guinness “floats” on top of Bass when you make a Black and Tan.
Most of you know that we try to pass on the interesting little tidbits of information that we learn, and some of you even bring in your own off-the-wall knowledge of certain brews, whiskies, or wine, but we can’t tell you everything every time you come in. Can you imagine not only getting a tour of our wonderful store but having to catch up on everything we’ve learned since you were in last? Each visit would take days! Hence… the Enlightened Liquor Enthusiast.
